Confronted with Virtual Reality artists and filmmakers have a chance to explore new means of expression. This situation forces to redefine the morphology and grammar of the language of the new field of cinematography that is being born right now. Our research team explores this language experimenting to identify internal rules to allow for creating thoughtful and meaningful art forms. The research is conducted on three parallel but complementary fields:
VR film narrative structures and techniques
Factors determining emotional engagement and immersion in VR film
The potential of VR platforms in mediating of aesthetic experience (e.s. art galleries and museums)
