15 Jul 2014 NIX- first work on the film has begun
The preliminary work on the film NIX, in Polish-German-Danish co-production, has begun.
NIX is a film inspired by a reportage by Iza Michalewicz, titled Niech Pan Zatrąbi (Will you honk sir), that tells a story of Anka, a thirtyfive year old Polish emigrant, who dreams of becoming a truck driver. It is a story about the difficult journey, reaching your dreams, about crossing the boundaries and alienation, all set in a harsh scenery of Poland, Germany and Scandinavia.
For this project Tomasz Woźniczka will be the cameraman, in the leading role we will see Boguslawa Jantos and the whole film will be produced by Kuba Czekaj, the author of the award winning short films Twist & Blood and Ciemnego Pokoju Nie Trzeba Się Bać (No Need to be Afraid of a Dark Room). This year he will also begin his feature film debut Królewicz Olch (Prince Olch), more about which you can find on www.krolewiczolch.pl
